Sitting, Waiting, Wishing

Fell asleep today after a 15mi bike ride, woke up few hours ago. Sorry for the lateness! Anywho, I'll be waiting on the market to make some kind of move to lead me into what I should be doing. S&P doji's while the DJ went up, but broke its January highs today and held. Sort of expect the DJ to lag a little based on what's been happening with it lately.

To keep myself from being bored to death, I'll prob jump into a couple small caps if they look nice - but I didn't enter anything today.

St. Patricks day!

Good breakouts today on some pretty good volume. Although it's St Patty's and its time to party :D. See you on the other side!

Another day, another dollar

Today things are a little different. One that I'll be watching tomorrow is DKS. It had a break out today with some good volume behind it. Ran through my base watchlists, and that's the one I'm liking most. As for pullbacks after breaks, I'll also be watching MHK, PCAR, THOR, VLO, AXLN, RIMM, ROST, and GE. There have been a good amount of patterns looking like they're ready to break. MRVL, MEE, MTL and BTU. POT also looking nice, retesting its last break.

That's it tonight for me. I'm still searching around for more setups I like, but have somewhat of a decent list for now!

Nothing spectacular

Not much to talk about today. Opened a couple put positions on KLAC and JRCC. GOOG dropped, while BIDU went up on news. S&P retests new highs. Otherwise, I'm still waiting on good confirmation on whats going on.

Slim bull pickin's

From what I have in my watchlists, the pickin's for bulls are really slim / far too risky. I guess that's apparent considering we have about two weeks of pure uptrend. Bears on the other hand, are looking like a dime a dozen. There's a lot of channel setups, with the price sitting at the very top of it for some pretty easy risk:reward ratios. Though I'm still waiting for confirmation on anything before I dive back in. Short entry for me today, had a leg day workout at the gym and my brain is fried!

Oh ya- don't forget to set your clocks if you didn't!

Sold off into strength

Yesterday and today's early markets dropped, and recovered towards the end of the day. To me thats a bit of indecision in the market, along with the S&P closing lower today. When you aren't sure, cash is king! I ended up selling off a few positions that closed on indecision. The notable ones were LVS and YUM. I'm still long in BBT and WLP, and my put on AEM recovered half the loss of yesterday, today. With the rain coming down this weekend, it doesn't look too eventful outdoors for me :<. I'll have market updates and watchlists up before Monday!

Have a good weekend!

Light Volume, Bulls say No Prob!

The volume lately has been getting slightly lower day by day as well as the RSI / McClellan, yet the prices still keep rising! Now I'm not saying that's a bad thing. If you're long, you probably aren't complaining either since we're all just stacking chips. Just be aware that eventually, its gotta come back down, and hopefully we all aren't too deep in position when it comes.

There was a slight scare early this morning for me though. First 30 minutes of opening bell, DJ dropped to about 10,505 or so. The hour before closing, DJ jumped 50 points and well the day ended well cause my portfolio went positive.

Anyway, I didn't enter any new positions today, but I didnt close any either, including the AEM that I bought puts on yesterday. GOOG and BIDU seem to be rising nicely, though the censoring decision can change everything. GE is mid-stride of an ascending triangle and closing on a doji today. QQQQ is continuing its breakout today, though on less than favorable volume. POT is down 1% on 50% volume during trading hours, but if you check right now- they are up 7.2% on after hours trading. +8.56 on about 71k volume. Might want to keep an eye on where thats going tomorrow.

Positions!

Today, I bought calls on RIMM and WLP, and a put on AEM. Still waiting on some patterns to break open and what not. May possibly update again later tonight after the gym!

btw, VLO had another high volume + day, along with LVS.

AIG jumps, TM recalls.

Quick little update for the night. AIG stacks it tall today going over 12%, TM says future recalls for the Prius, and if thats anything like the pedal recall, should be another downfall there.

LVS had its full breakout today, with a slight pullback toward late in the day, which was one of my pattern setups from yesterday. TOL also broke out of its symmetrical triangle with good volume to support. RYL has at its resist currently, and is rising aggressively with just about average volume. YUM took a giant jump up on alittle over 2x volume.

I'd keep my eye on RYL tomorrow to see what happens with opening and if it breaks the resist, but there were a good amount of breakouts today on low volume.

See y'all at opening bell tomorrow!

PS- FF13 is out :D

S&P doji's. RIMM and MET +5%. Casinos setting up. and what is that tail on POT?

Fun day on the markets today! Kind of what I was expecting on the S&P. Still thinking itll go down a bit more before we see another bull rush through the previous high. That being said, there was a pretty good amount of breakouts and very nice technical setups coming through. RIMM is up 5.6%, MET also up at alittle over 5%. Those were the two notable ones I had come across today.

Some nice setups coming out of the casino industry also. WYNN is in mid-stride of its triangle, LVS is at the top end of its symmetrical, along with MGM.

PS. POT had a tick down to below the 20's. What is that?

Watchlist and the McClellan

Sunday night charting! So as the McClellan is showing, the market is well into overbought territory, which is also backed by the RSI. With the MACD also lowering, I would be look for a pullback in the next couple days. If the S&P doesn't break the previous couple months high at around 1150. The S&P is moving up strong with a bit more to go to the 1150 mark, which doesn't leave much on the upside of things. If the pull back doesn't break the month and a half uptrend, I'm assuming it tears through the 1150 mark, which lets the bulls be super aggressive. For the first Sunday of this blog, lets keep it short! On to the watchlist!

Sell - AEM BVN CNW UNH
Buy - AKS FLIR MRVL VPRT WLP
Patterns - AAP BBT GE MFC RYL TOL (AAP has a symmertrical triangle going on, but also an uptrend within it that may break the triangle soon!)

Update on what to expect during weekends

Since this is the first weekend of this little blog of mine, I thought I'd give everyone a heads up of whats to come. During weekends, I'll give my opinions of what i think the overall market will be doing, along with a watchlist for the week to come. So in case you're looking for a few extra stocks to look for, or just are just looking for someone else's opinion, I'll be sharing both! In the mean time, its breakfast time :D

Quick spike on VLO

Today, I entered VLO at around the $19 mark. It broke through the symmetrical triangle early today with a slight above average volume. With the markets going crazy, I'm not holding many positions. The market seems like it should be setting up for a bit of a correction. So until I get some kind of bearish move I'll be limiting how many bullish positions I'd be getting in to.

Bullish Money is up!

Hey All,
Brand new site I'll be working on, updating it with possible trades I'm entering and some opinions of what I think is happening with the market. Hopefully this helps anyone else reading, and maybe brings out some other traders (options, stocks, futures, etc...) and their opinions. All in all, if this helps anyone- leave some comments to let me know!
